FOLLOWUP: West Seattle (Admiral) Library reopening delayed
The West Seattle (Admiral) Library and Fremont branch of the Seattle Public Library have delayed reopening. The original plan was for them to reopen in November 2026, but structural conditions in the building walls at both branches were discovered, requiring additional work. This included revising plans to expand and run ductwork, making structural improvements, and addressing life-safety requirements. The branches are now expected to reopen before January, a month earlier than initially anticipated.
