VIDEO, PHOTOS: Salmon watch starts at Fauntleroy Creek, hours before musical circle to welcome coho
Fauntleroy Creek volunteers started their annual salmon watch at daybreak. No salmon were in view, but three seals were seen, suggesting they are in the vicinity. Volunteer Dennis Hinton said current projections for salmon counts are varied, ranging from "really bad" to "really good". A musical circle welcomed the coho, with children decorating a salmon sketch and writing poetry to be read aloud.
